Use the indicator and reset only after the wide roller is free. Disconnect power, remove hair from both end supports, clear the nozzle channel, and inspect the capped toothed belt; then verify the hose, wand, and quick-connect contacts deliver power. A head that stops in the parked position may be responding to its cutoff, so test the parking switch before replacing the motor.
