A wide nozzle can hide a local blockage, so compare pickup at the center and both edges before removing the rear dust cup. If hose suction is strong, clear the base duct and inspect the belt, brush ends, bristle height, and manual setting across the full width. Weak hose pull moves to the stretch hose, cup screen, filter stack, cup gasket, and outlet. With the roller free and airflow open, a dead machine follows the cord, switch, protector, fan, and motor.Compare center and edge pickup, then test the rear hose. Strong hose pull isolates base duct, belt, brush ends, bristle height, and setting; weak pull points to hose, cup screen, filters, gasket, and outlet.
