Choose the floor brush or tool hose as the first test path. If tools pull well while the wide nozzle leaves grit, clear its lip and inspect the belt, brushshaft, end supports, and base seal; if both routes are weak, inspect the rear bag, filter screen, changeover opening, hose couplings, and fan inlet. Tool-only loss can sit in a crevice tip. A dead motor is checked at fixed lead, grip switch, terminals, and thermal path after freeing the roller.Compare tool-hose pull with wide-nozzle pickup. Good tool suction isolates nozzle lip, belt, brushshaft, end supports, or base seal; weak pull in both routes moves to bag, screen, changeover opening, cuffs, and fan inlet. No start follows lead, grip switch, and protector.
