Note whether the upright is running from its rear pack or corded supply, then reproduce the fault in the other mode. Poor pickup in both modes directs service to the bag, lower duct, belt, brush ends, nozzle seals, and filters; failure in one mode isolates its supply path. With the roller free, cord trouble follows the lead and switch, while pack trouble follows charger, contacts, battery, and controller.
