Model issues and repair guidance
Start overheating at the three-latch seal and filter stack, not at the single top rocker. Seat the cone against the tub rim, inspect the flat disc and motor screen, then clear the hose, snap-lock wand, and powered-nozzle throat. Full suction at the wand with poor carpet cleaning directs service to the cog belt, brush bearings, neck wiring, and breaker. If the entire machine remains silent after cooling, test the fixed cord, rocker contacts, internal leads, fan, and motor. For heat or weak pull, seat the cone, inspect flat disc and motor screen, and clear hose, wand, and nozzle throat. Good wand suction with poor carpet pickup moves to cog belt, brush ends, neck wiring, and breaker. No start follows cord and rocker.
