Inspect the hair-cutting comb as well as the roller ends when fibers remain in the main head; packed material at the comb can imitate a brush-drive fault. Compare hose suction with base pickup before moving from cup, filter, and airway service to belt or motor work. Test the powered upholstery tool on its own, since its small roller and drive are separate from the floor nozzle.Reseat cup and filters, clear hose and floor inlet, then free the brush and inspect its belt. Cool the machine with an open air path before testing cord, switch, fan, or motor. Check the hair-cutting comb for packed fibers as well as the roller itself.
