Compare suction at the canister inlet with pickup through the hose, wand, and electric nozzle. Restore bag and filter airflow first; body suction with a stopped brush keeps diagnosis in the head, belt, wand contacts, or hose conductors. A self-adjusting carpet nozzle can still bind at its roller or lose current across the hose and wand, so compare its operation with direct canister suction before interpreting the top status display.Restore the bag-to-hose air path, then separate electric-head drive from cord reel, body switch, board, fan, or motor service. With body suction verified, inspect nozzle roller, hose and wand conductors, and overload before treating the top display as a body fault.
